So, you want to be an ass-kicker.
A man of responsibility.
Someone who doesn’t just coast along like the useless detritus of life which popular culture pushes you to be.
Then get off your ass.
Be the Edison, not another bloated Griffin.
You can be more than that. I’ll be covering how over several posts.
Not like the stupid meme that pushes people to embrace their most self-destructive habits and pretend their glorious.
By waking your ass up everyday at 5:00 AM.
“5:00 AM? Are you fucking kidding me??”
The very act of doing and committing to this requires more discipline than most anything else I’ll recommend you.
But the payoff is enormous.
1.) You’ll feel like you’re accomplishing something
Especially if you’re a man-child sleeping in every damn day
2.) You will accomplish something.
We’ve talked about finding a purpose and setting its goals.
The time you need to get these done will appear at 5AM.
While the rest of the world is waiting to get started at 9, you’ll have a 4 hour head start on them.
Your house will be quiet.
Distractions become only those you permit.
Paint 4 hours a day.
Write 4 hours a day.
Draw 4 hours a day.
Rap for 4 hours.
Weld for 4 hours.
If Malcom Gladwell was right and one needs only 10,000 hours to become an expert, you can have that on less than 7 years.
“But what about my social life/drinking/gambling/club hopping???”
Get serious or get out.
Do you want to become a serious artist before you die or do you want to play Halo with dipshits on the internet?
If it’s the latter, this isn’t the website for you.
If it’s the former, then you’re ready to be a man.
3.) You’ll find your goals easier to stick with
According to the APA, willpower is a muscle and you have the most at the beginning of the day.
Meaning, during those four hours, you’ll be less tempted to watch cat videos on YouTube and more likely to get things done.
It’s as simple as getting your ass up.
My challenge to you is make the next 30 days count. Wake up by 5 for each of the next 30 days and make your ass work for your goals.
For those that do, I want to see what you accomplish.
Kick ass, my man.
